What are the main pros and cons of constitutional monarchies?

I am not convinced about the "bringing tourism" thing. For one thing I expect many more people visit the Louvre than would have visited if it was a royal palace. Also if you want a tourist attraction why spend hundreds of millions on the Queen when you could probably find an actor to do it for 50k (it is a 24-hour job)
