What's up with the double stuf oreos?

I bought a couple of packages last week and something isn't right. The cream was mushier and from cookie to cookie the cream density was totally inconsistant but let's not stop there! Try dunking these babies? They don't even taste the same after dunking in milk! Something is wrong, what's up? Is it just me or has anyone else noticed some differences?
